MyComfort® Environmental Policy

1. Purpose

This policy sets out how MyComfort® approaches environmental responsibility across our products, materials, packaging and operations. It also sets out what we commit to improving.

2. Our Commitment

MyComfort was founded in Co. Laois in 2023, and our brand is inspired by the ocean. We believe that products made for rest should also respect the planet. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint, choosing certified materials, and being open about what we do and what we're still working on.

We support Ireland's national climate objectives, including the legally binding target of climate neutrality by 2050 under the Climate Action and Low Carbon Development (Amendment) Act 2021. We aim to play our part as a small Irish business.

3. Certified and Recycled Materials

We carefully select every raw material we use, and each one is certified:

  • Face fabric: Our consumer eye masks, the Multiway Eye Mask and the Sleepwell Eye Mask, use Vita fabric from Carvico (Italy). Vita is made with ECONYL® regenerated nylon yarn and certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and the Global Recycled Standard (GRS).
  • Elastic: We use a 28 mm organic elastic from CHARLE (Berlin). It is made from natural rubber, is plastic-free and is GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified. CHARLE is a member of Fair Rubber and the Circular Rubber Platform.
  • Wadding: Supplied by Vlieseline (Austria).

ECONYL® yarn is produced by Aquafil. It regenerates nylon waste, including fishing nets and other pre- and post-consumer materials, into new yarn. This keeps waste out of landfill and the ocean and reduces the need for new, fossil-based nylon.

4. Made to Last

Our masks are designed and made in Europe for long-term, everyday use. A product that lasts means fewer replacements, less waste and better value for our customers.

5. Responsible Production

Our manufacturing partner in Poland operates a solar-powered facility, which reduces reliance on fossil fuels. Because the facility has no minimum production run, we produce to demand, which helps us avoid overproduction and surplus stock.

6. Packaging and Waste Reduction

  • Our retail packaging is 100% recyclable.
  • We keep packaging to what is needed to protect the product.
  • We encourage customers to recycle packaging through their local recycling service.
  • [Confirm: what your returns policy includes, e.g. reuse or responsible disposal of returned masks.]

7. Continuous Improvement

We commit to:

  • Reviewing this policy at least once a year.
  • Setting measurable environmental goals and reporting our progress openly.
  • Working with our suppliers to keep improving the materials and processes we use.
  • Welcoming feedback from customers, stockists and partners.

8. Compliance

MyComfort complies with all applicable Irish and EU environmental and consumer protection law. Every environmental claim we make is based on supplier certification and documentation that we hold on file.

9. Communication

This policy is published on mycomfort.ie and shared with our suppliers, stockists and partners. We ask everyone we work with to support these commitments.

10. Our Promise

We started MyComfort to help people rest better. We're committed to doing that responsibly: we choose certified materials, we make products that last, we're honest about our impact, and we keep improving.
