MyComfort Ltd ("MyComfort", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit www.mycomfort.ie, buy from us or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with and what your rights are.

3. How and Why We Use Your Data

Our no-spam promise: we only email you if you've asked us to or you're an existing customer, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe. We never sell or rent your data.

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We share your data only where we need to, and only with:

  • Shopify (e-commerce platform and Shopify Payments), to run our online shop and process card payments.
  • Klarna, if you choose Klarna at checkout. Klarna acts as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
  • An Post, to deliver your order.
  • Klaviyo, to send our emails.
  • Trustpilot, to invite and publish reviews.
  • [Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google], for analytics and advertising, and only if you've accepted those cookies.
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountant, solicitor, bank and insurers.
  • Authorities, such as the Revenue Commissioners, the Gardaí or regulators, where the law requires it.

Our service providers act as processors. They may use your data only on our instructions and must keep it secure.

5. International Transfers

Some of our service providers, including Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta and Google, may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for example in Canada or the United States. When this happens, your data is protected by one of the following:

  • An EU adequacy decision (Canada; US organisations certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
  • The European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

7. Data Security

We use secure, reputable platforms, encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted account access to protect your data from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. If a data breach is likely to affect your rights, we will tell you and the Data Protection Commission as the law requires.

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Have your data erased.
  • Restrict how we process your data.
  • Object to processing, including direct marketing at any time.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal doesn't affect processing we carried out before it.

To use any of these rights, email care@mycomfort.ie. We will reply within one month, and in most cases there is no charge.

We do not make any decisions about you by purely automated means.

Complaints: You have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, at www.dataprotection.ie. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us.

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website:

  • Strictly necessary cookies keep the site and checkout working. We don't need your consent for these.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site. We use them only with your consent.
  • Marketing cookies help us show you relevant ads. We use them only with your consent.
